Never let the fire go out … When you hope, be joyful. When you suffer, be patient. When you pray, be faithful. Share with God’s people who are in need. Welcome others into your homes.
— Romans 12:11-13 (NIrV)

Fire is a tool utilized only by human beings. Since the beginning of time, humans have congregated around its warmth for light, protection and company. Every other creature on the planet fears fire, but we’ve been given the unique ability to harness it, to use its power to improve our lives. Not only that, but poets and artists have used fire to describe the God-given spark that wakes us up in the morning and fuels our purpose and passion. Whatever the context, fire is not to be ignored.

When our homes feel cold, we’ll light a fire.
When a friend has lost her spark, we’ll fan her flame.
When the world seems dark, we will be an ember of hope

We will stop inhaling the fumes of our mistakes that tell us we are not enough, not a good enough mom, not pretty enough, not brave enough, not smart enough, not wealthy enough. Instead, we will choose to tend our God-given fire. We will love our children with an all-consuming love and use our words to warm the world. We will hold the torch up high and shed light on what matters most.

There is nothing that you can do, or have done, to ruin or fracture God’s love for you. Breathe freely and joyfully, and be refreshed. May this be the year you FIND YOUR FIRE.

MOPPETS workers are committed to the importance of providing quality child care for the MOPS program. They may be women, men or teenagers. MOPPETS workers may choose to be paid for their time, or they may choose to serve as volunteers. Each classroom will be split up based on age, and will consist of a mix of structured play, a small activity, and free play. MOPPETS Childcare will be available for ages 6 months to 6 years.

Moms may start dropping their children off into their age-appropriate MOPPETS classroom no earlier than 8:40am, and are to pick up promptly at 11am.

Mom’s can check their children in at the front desk at the Kids Rock building. Each Mom will be given two stickers for their child(ren) and a tag with a 4-digit code for the Mom to present at pick-up. One of the name tags goes on the child’s back and the other tag will be given to the classroom teacher. Should you lose your child’s 4 digit code, please have your ID ready and see your MOPPETS Childcare Lead.

MOPPETS Childcare is only available to your children. If you watch other children/nanny, please DO NOT bring those children with you to MOPS Childcare.

BABIES 6M - 1 YEAR:  Moms may drop off diaper bags with necessities for their child. Please ask and/or make sure all items (bottles, diaper bags, pacifiers) are labeled with the child name to make sure things do not get mixed up. If your child needs to be fed by bottle, please leave instructions for your child’s teacher. We are not allowed to feed any solids, including baby food pouches or puffs.

CHILDREN AGES 1 - 2: Parents may drop off a diaper and wipes in a Ziplock Bag labeled with the child name, please NO DIAPER BAGS - the rooms are not big enough to accommodate a bag for each child.

CHILDREN AGES 3 AND OLDER: NO ITEMS may be brought into the classroom (toys, cups, snacks, blankets, etc.)

ALL CLASSROOMS AGES 2 AND UP: Will be given a snack cup of Gluten-Free Cereal and water.

Absolutely NO TOYS from outside of the classroom are allowed in, this is for safety as well as to lessen the items left behind.

MOPPETS workers are trained to go through a list of procedures should your child become unsettled during MOPPETS. Such as:

  • Change the child’s diaper

  • Give a snack and/or water

  • Go for a walk in the hallway

  • Set up a structured activity for the child
    to engage in

However; should the child remain up set, our rule of thumb is 10-15 min of non-stop crying, your MOPPET Lead will have you paged.

With that being said, please continuously be glancing up at the screen on the front stage to look for your 4-digit code being paged. If your number appears, please head to your child’s classroom.

If a child is paged for excessive crying and the above techniques were done by your child’s classroom teacher, please do not re-check your child back in for that meeting, you may try again for the next MOPS Meeting.
